Hey everyone!  I’m half way through the first month of the “Always Eat After 7PM” weight loss plan and I am actually surprised by the results I’ve received thus far!  This weight loss plan consists of three phases:

  • The acceleration phase is the intense phase where you cut back on calories and carbohydrates as an attempt to burn lots of fat.  This is where you are supposed to lose a lot of weight quickly.

  • The main phase is the phase where you continue your diet, but implement certain behaviors that prepare you for being able to sustain the eating habits from the acceleration phase by implementing things like cheat days.  This prepares you to keep losing weight while preparing you for the next phase where you maintain the weight loss long term.

  • The lifestyle phase is the maintenance component of the “Eat After 7PM” weight loss plan.

I am currently completing the first phase, the acceleration phase.  I haven’t lost a ton of weight.  This is fine for me because my goal is not to lose weight but to gain energy.  The little weight that I have lost is a win for me!  My actual goal of gaining more energy has truly come to pass!  I am able to start my day much earlier with a sense of more energy.  I usually need to drink a cup of coffee every 3-4 hours every day.  This has decreased to only one cup of coffee (and that might even be due to my habit of having coffee be part of my morning routine).

When I think of what might have made this plan work for me versus other alternatives, I think of how all the information I needed to stay on track was easily provided for me through this book.  For each phase of this weight loss program, a detailed meal plan is provided.  A description of what to eat and the amount is provided for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Once I start the main phase, a meal plan for eating out is provided as well!  “Fact is, most diets are extremely narrow with regard to food choices and variety, and many even limit entire macronutrients altogether over the course of the entire program (think low-carb and low-fat diets). Three months with no carbs? No thanks. Such practices not only are entirely unnecessary, but make for a miserable, unsustainable experience.”

It also helps that this book provides tons of recipes of delicious food that don’t taste or look overly healthy!  One of my favorites was the loaded baked potato.  I am a lover of anything with cheese so it was nice to know that my comfort food of choice was a featured item in this book!  Joel Marion’s Always Eat After 7PM program makes dieting easy and eliminates 90% of reasons for resistance.
