My Review of a New Diet Plan

Ever since I gave birth to my first set of twins, I have struggled with maintaining the required energy needed to be attentive to work, being a mom, and enjoying my regular activities.  I seemed to always be so tired and drained.  I have tried so many methods of gaining more energy: going to bed early, taking vitamin B12 supplements, taking caffeine, etc.  Nothing seems to works consistently.  

When I was presented the opportunity to receive an advanced copy of “Always Eat After 7PM” by Joel Marion, I knew I had to see what this was all about.  This book explains a weight-loss plan built around breaking all the weight-loss rules we all know about.  We’ve been traditionally taught to avoid carbs, have an early dinner, and never eat before bed. But the fact is, the latest scientific research shows us this earlier model is not the most ideal.  One of the biggest rules this book breaks is eating after 7PM.  “Late-night eating also curbs calorie intake the next day. In a four-week study, dieters added a snack to their daily regimen 90 minutes after dinner every night, and check this out: late-night eaters ate an average of 397 fewer calories per day.”

As you all know, I work long hours and often times don’t get a chance to eat dinner until well after 8PM.  So, you know I have to see what this book is all about.  After all, what’s there to lose?

At this point, you may be asking, “Onyee, you aren’t overweight and your concern is lack of energy.  Why do you want to lose weight?”  Good question!  I don’t exactly want to lose weight, however using these weight loss methods will help me burn calories and fat, leading to increase in energy! Plus, losing a few pounds along the way is a great motivator.
