When we purchased our home, setting up the patio was the last thing on our minds. When we lived in California, we barely had a backyard. Now, we have this huge backyard and have no idea what to do with it. A few weeks into moving into our home last year, we bought some patio furniture. But it wasn’t until recently that we finally added a bit more items to our patio to completely revamp our patio. Here are three things we purchased to elevate the look of our outdoor patio.
Pillows and Cushions
Adding in pillows and cushions is the cheapest and easiest way to elevate your patio. It is also an opportunity to add different colors and textures to your patio. The furniture we selected is dark so we opted for pillows that go with the color scheme while still brighten the patio a bit.
Flooring
The cement floor we had previously makes the patio to come off a bit bland. Most people add an outdoor rug to cover the cement floor. This is a good option however, we decided to go with tiling our patio floor. Ikea has several options of affordable tile to choose from.
Entertainment
We plan on using our patio for entertaining guests so we knew we needed a full entertainment system outside. My husband did tons of research and google searching to select the perfect television and sound system for our patio.
