Casual Workstyle DENIM

Blue is  one of my favorite colors to dress in (as you can see in my previous blog posts here, here, here, here, and here).

Aside from wearing blue, I️ especially love wearing denim! At my job, I️ work in a refinery which has a super casual setting.  Most of the people at my job come to work in shorts and flip flops (even when its raining).  I️ however love any opportunity to dress up so for work, so I️ try to find a good middle between dressy and casual where I'm not doing too much for work, but at the same time feeling in my element.  Styling casual pieces with simple dressy pieces does the trick for me.

Denim is the best piece of item to dress down a dressy business work outfit.  Denim jeans with a dress top or slacks with a denim jacket are some options I can go with.  My favorite however is the denim monochrome look.  I've paired it with leather backless loafers and a black duster coat.

On its own, denim can be casual.  However with the duster coat and loafers, it provides that perfect in between casual and dressy look I often go for.

I'm currently looking to experiment with new casual work pieces.  What do you recommend?  I know I can't be the only person that works in a casual environment.  Share your stories with me!
